My favourite time of the year has finally arrived!
It's CHRISTMAS!
I love Christmas because it's all about spending time with family and relaxing!
It's the best when it snows on Christmas!

This is my favourite place to shop on Christmas as it's beautiful and the atmosphere is amazing :D

I met my GAA hero :D

Well last week I met Kildare's Most famous Gaelic player.....JOHNNY DOYLE!
He is the Captain of the Kildare Senior GAA team!
For people who don't know what GAA is it's Gaelic Football which is a traditional Irish sport!
Johnny Doyle is one of my many Idols!
He was at our awards night handing out the medals. I was talking to him for ages about how he would go down to the pitch every night and kick a football over the ball FIFTY times and not MISS one!
He is such a brilliant GAA player if I was even a fifth as good as him I would be a proud GAA player!

Fashion show!

Well the fashion show is tomorrow!
Of course we still have loads to do we still have to finish the story board, which is telling people about our outfit and where we got the inspiration for the outfit!
Ours is based on Victorian style meets Katy Perry ! I will Post a picture of the outfit tomorrow!
Our song for during the fashion show is ET by Katy Perry as it;s about the future :D
I hope it turns out well and the Judges like it because the winners get a box of chocolates!

Cake Sale :D

Our class BANBA are having a cake sale today at lunch to raise money for our mini co.
My group and I are dressing up as Santa for to advertise our Mini Co.
Our Mini Co. is personally written letters from Santa to children. My group aren't trying to raise money as we don't need much money so
we're going to give each person who makes an order a free cupcake or brownie!
It's kind of like bribery but who cares hopefully it will work :D

Best Experience of the year !

Well last week was work experience week and it was amazing !

I was following an Orthopaedic surgeon for the whole week :D I was in the operating theatre with him and the registrars it was an unbelievable experience!
I was thinking about doing medicine in College. After that experience I DEFINITELY want to be a surgeon!
I also got to spend the day in the clinic with the Consultant/Surgeon. I thought it was really good to see the people before and after the operations!

Getting ready for the real world of work!

WORK EXPERIENCE!!

Were are getting organised for work experience this week!
This means we go and work for a week to see if we would like a career in that area.
I am following an Orthopaedic Consultant! How cool is that!
AND I GET TO SCRUB INTO THEATRE WITH HIM!
I get to observe operations! I cannot wait I am so excited! 

Back with a bang!

Well mid-term was great ! was good to get a break.
Was back in school with a bang! as usual I left all my project work till the! I had so much work to do I nearly had a break down! 
I won't be leaving any projects till the last minute again! I suppose it's true you really do learn from your mistakes!!

Mini Company stress!!

Well we have gone on workshops for Mini Co. One was too Naas and the other too Newbridge. Orla is the organiser of it, we go too a theatre and learn stuff to help us with our Mini Co.
My group and I need all the HELP we can get! We still have not got a concrete company, and it ws due last week! We really to think of an idea before the end of the week or we won't get anything done!

We are the champions :D

Go Banba! we won the fun walk :D Fodla thought they had us beaten BUT they were wrong ! To be hponest I think it was Mr. L being pushed onto the ground won it for us :) We got a box of roses for the class.

TY to do list :)

Well Ms.L gave us a challenge to write a Ty to do list for this week, can it be done? Suppose we'll find out now :)
1. Win the fun walk dance :) 
Well this week is anti-bullying week. On Friday we have a fun walk to raise money for Pieta house in Lucan. For this each class has to preform a dance, in TY it's super competitive, and we HAVE GOT to win!!!                   
2. Geography Project :)
Well I told you about this project in another blog, my partner and I are going to the library this week to do more research.
3. Opera for music :)
Well were directing and producing a modern opera of mean girls :D The bad thing is it's got to be done BY TOMORROW !
4.Design a dress :)
For Home Ec. we have to deisgn an out fit out of white jeans and a T-shirt. It seems easy but trust me it's NOT. We have to dye the clothes this week.
5.Mini Company :/
Don't really know where to begin with this. Well I think we have tfinally decided on an idea THANK GOD. We have gwt some samples this week to get started :)

Onion Tears !

Bet your wondering what this is about....
 Well it's about my project for the BT young scientists competition! My group and me are doing it about onions ! Were testing why we cry when chopping onions and how to prevent it :)
 When doing the experiment in the classroom everyone started too cry it was hilarious :D We entered the competition hopefully we get in :)

Around the world trip :)

Well TY is really going great! We have a project to go around the world! Sadly it's only a project :(
We have to visit 6 different countries, two developed, two developing, two under-developed. The trip is for a year, we have got €12,000 each. This seems like a lot of money, but realistically it isn't. We have got to pay for EVERYTHING food, flights AND accommodation, it is really hard to do BELIEVE ME. My partner and I are having loads of fun on our around the world trip :) Might even go on the trip in the future ;)

Results :D

Well the day finally came yesterday 14th September.....junior cert results!! I was so happy with mine because I bet my brothers and sister! We got our results at lunch and got the rest of the day off :)
 I went for lunch with my parents. After that was when the real fun started as I was getting ready to go out too celebrate with my friends :D We all went to Time, it's a night club in Naas it was an underage night :D
It's safe to say that all girls came into school this morning exhausted!
 Overall the day and night were FANTASTIC :D

Carlingford !! :D

Well it's safe too say that this trip is probably the most looked forward too by all 78 girls in TY. I can safely say it didn't disappoint it was AMAZING.
 We were off too an early start on the 12th of September 6:40 am at esso station, you could imagine the sight of 78 girls sleep deprived girls it WAS NOT pretty :P
 We arrived at Carlingford at 9 am all set too have great craic :D It definitely started with a bang! With a game resembled COD it was very eventful and amazingly fun! :D
 After that we had lunch we did a challenge course, we were split into groups of eight :) one thing we did here was CB (community breakdown) this is a storage container with a maze inside, it's three levels you have too crawl, but it's in COMPLETE BLACK ! M group did it in under 10 minutes!! :D we also did other team building games along with that one. I really had fun on the challenge course :D
After that we had dinner, we had spaghetti bolognese and ice-cream for dessert.
after dinner we hiked up a HUGE hill, you could really feel the burn! When we got to the top it was dark. We were then given blind folds, and put into a straight one behind one.We then put on our blind folds and follow the person on front around the forest, we had to follow a rope also, it was really fun it's called the night line.
When the night line was over we headed back down the hill to the adventure centre, when we got back we had free time until 11!
 I went too the chipper with some friends and got some food,m then headed back to the common room and ate it :) There was also a boy school staying over night. We all hung out in the common room and had a sing along it was good fun!
at 11 we all had to go to our bedrooms. I was in a room with 7 other girls we stayed up till three talking and eating sweets :D
 We had to get up at 7:15 ! We had too pack up and clean the room before breakfast which was 8-9 am.
Out first activity was rock climbing and abseiling. Once again it was a HIKE to get to the place! It was really fun though. After a while people started too rock climb BLINDFOLDED I preferred the abs ailing to the rock climbing. We then headed back down the hill too have lunch.
 After lunch we went orienteering which was good but a VERY long and HARD hike :)  Our group were the first to finish :D We also did archery half way through the orienteering which was fun!
 When we finished orienteering we headed back to the adventure centre too get ready to leave :(
 Well the whole experience was AMAZING I would do it again in a heartbeat !!!
    If the trip was anything to go by TY is going to be BRILLIANT :D

my first TY blog!

Well this is my first ever time to blog, so I don't know much about it. I go too St.wolstan's and I really like it! All my friends are in my class and I'm getting to know everyone else a lot more. Well we did social development  on Monday 5th of September. Our whole class did it for the day. It is too help us to try and figure what type of person we are, apparently I'm a director.
 We also have activities every Thursday afternoon. We do Pilate's, Photography, and Charleston dancing. The dancing is by far my favourite!!!
  One of my options for the year is home ec. Our project is too make a dress out of white jeans and a white T-shirt, I think it's going to be hard but really fun! We have a fashion show at the end!!
 We are also doing bt young scientist, my group are going to find out why we cry when peeling onions and how to prevent it from happening! I hope we get into it, as it would be a great experience, and sure that's what TY is all about!
 This is only the beginning of a great year, I cannot wait too find out what else were going to do in TY !!
