Well we're doing another Geography project :D
This time we're are raising awareness about certain diseases you can get when on holiday. We have to make brochure telling you all about the disease, how you can prevent it, what symptoms you may get and how to treat the disease.
I chose leprosy as I find it very interesting, also there is a very large stigma towards people who have leprosy. They are isolated from the rest of their community and people do not associate with them.
When I did my research I found out that it is wasn't actually proven to be the case.
This is why I want to raise awareness about Leprosy to get rid of all the false beliefs about this disease!

A trip to Kildare town :D
Well today is St. Brigid's day and the first day of Spring :D
St. Brigid is the second most known Saint. in Ireland, the first being St. Patrick.
My class and I are decorating the meditating room. It is meant to represent St. Brigid and all she did during her life. While doing all this about St. Brigid, I have actually learnt a lot about what she did for Ireland and the beginning of Christianity in Ireland
We are also going to visit Kildare town. To visit the Holy well, which is highly associated with St. Brigid!
It's also the first day of spring which usually means it should get warmer. But it actually was the coldest this morning than it has been in a long time! Just our luck.

New Year New Goals :D
Well you always hear people talking about how they're going to do better in the new year. But how often do people actually achieve what they set out to do at the beginning?
My new year resolution for 2012 is to make a list of things to do, and to do at least half of them!
Do you think I can do it?
If you want to see the list look at my page :)
Wish me luck!

Let the excitement begin :D
My favourite time of the year has finally arrived!
It's CHRISTMAS!
I love Christmas because it's all about spending time with family and relaxing!
It's the best when it snows on Christmas!
This is the main shopping street in Dublin it's Grafton Street with the Christmas lights.
This is my favourite place to shop on Christmas as it's beautiful and the atmosphere is amazing :D

I met my GAA hero :D
Well last week I met Kildare's Most famous Gaelic player.....JOHNNY DOYLE!
He is the Captain of the Kildare Senior GAA team!
For people who don't know what GAA is it's Gaelic Football which is a traditional Irish sport!
Johnny Doyle is one of my many Idols!
He was at our awards night handing out the medals. I was talking to him for ages about how he would go down to the pitch every night and kick a football over the ball FIFTY times and not MISS one!
He is such a brilliant GAA player if I was even a fifth as good as him I would be a proud GAA player!
